Effectiveness of video assisted teaching on knowledge regarding periodontal diseases as a risk for preterm delivery among adolescent girls: Pre-experimental one group pre-test post-test research design

Background of the study: Periodontal diseases are a group infectious caused by predominantly Gram-negative and anaerobic bacteria that induce local systemic elevations pro- inflammatory prostaglandins (PGE2) cytokines [1].Aim To assess effectiveness videos assisted teaching on knowledge regarding periodontal as risk for preterm delivery among adolescent girls.Materials Methods: The study was Pre-experimental one pre-test post-test research design. . Structured questionnaire developed in order to delivery. It conducted at PU College with sample size 60 adolescence girls, selected using simple random sampling technique collected data were analyzed interpreted based descriptive inferential statisticsResults: findings revealed before implementation video program, majority 38 (63.3%) girls had poor knowledge, 22 (36.7%) average knowledge. After 41 (68.3%) excellent 19 (31.7%) them scored good delivery.The Mean Standard Deviation level program is 9.30±2.7 mean standard deviation after 27.08±2.2. There highly significant between scores (t=43.33, df=59) 0.05 significance. Hence, accepted hypothesis H1 null H01 rejected this study. Therefore, it concluded found effective enhance girls.Conclusion: Based findings, gained improved girls.
